Hello, I'm
Aubrey McMillan.

Welcome to Oak & Clove Midwifery. I’m so glad you’re here!

There is something deeply transformative about the journey into motherhood. It is not just about bringing a baby into the world, it is about being held through it.

I offer homebirth midwifery and placenta encapsulation services to families throughout Middle Tennessee. As a Licensed Certified Professional Midwife (CPM-TN), my work is rooted in holistic, autonomy-centered care. I believe your voice matters. Your intuition matters. And your experience deserves to be held with intention, respect, and deep support. My role is to walk alongside you offering guidance, presence, and steady care as you make decisions for yourself and your baby.

My path into midwifery began during my first pregnancy. I remember sitting in a childbirth class, completely captivated like something in me had awakened. That quiet curiosity grew into something undeniable as I experienced the birth of my first daughter and felt, firsthand, the power of being supported, seen, and trusted in birth. It changed me and from that moment on I knew this work was not just an interest, it was a calling.

Since entering the birth world in 2017, I’ve had the honor of supporting over 250 families. I have witnessed birth unfold in many forms: gentle and undisturbed, intense and unpredictable, sacred and raw. My experience includes VBAC, twin, and breech births, as well as more complex moments such as shoulder dystocia, nuchal hands and cords, posterior positioning, meconium, fetal distress, placental abruption, uterine rupture, and postpartum hemorrhage. These experiences have shaped me not just in skill, but in presence. They have taught me how to remain grounded in the unknown, to respond with clarity, and to hold space even when birth asks more of us.

A little about me: I live just west of Nashville with my husband and our two daughters, and I also carry the memory of a baby we lost along the way. My own journey—a cesarean, a miscarriage, and a homebirth VBAC—has deeply informed the way I care for others. I understand both the beauty and the vulnerability of this path and I meet families with that knowing. Outside of birth work, I find joy in the simple things—hiking a quiet trail, crafting with my children, getting lost in a puzzle, or unwinding with a favorite show. I’m also passionate about holistic living and love incorporating toxin-conscious choices, herbal support, and homeopathy into daily life.

It is a profound honor to be invited into this season with families. Birth is not just a moment, it is a threshold. And you deserve to walk through it feeling supported, respected, and deeply held.

If you’re planning a homebirth, I would love to connect and hear your story!
